Madison Prince is a Black and First Nations Australian filmmaker, screenwriter, and director from the Nyikina Nation of Western Australia. Her directorial debut, LEE, marks a striking entry into the world of filmmaking, an evocative short that showcases her signature blend of emotional depth and visual precision.
Based between Los Angeles and Australia, Prince is the founder of the United Stages Collective, the first U.S. based collective of First Nations artists dedicated to amplifying the untold stories of Australia through film and performance. Her production credits include collaborations with Nike, highlighting her growing reputation as a powerful creative voice bridging continents and cultures.
Prince’s debut feature film Conscientious Objector is currently in development. The film explores themes of legacy, resistance, and cultural identity through a cinematic lens that is both intimate and expansive.
Her limited television series Band B is also in development. Set in early 2000s Los Angeles, the dramedy follows a ragtag backing band of talented but dysfunctional musicians navigating the highs and lows of touring life. What happens on tour stays on tour, until it doesn’t.
