In the early 2000s, a ragtag backing band of talented but dysfunctional musicians live less than luxuriously in comparison to the stars they tour with. From seedy motels to sold-out arenas, their offstage antics and personal rivalries often overshadow their performances. As the band navigates fame, friendship, and the unpredictability of life on the road, they quickly learn that the biggest drama happens after the encore.
